Privacy Policy

Vergemount ("we," "us," "our") operates vergemount.in and its subpages (the "Site"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to the Site itself — it does not cover the separate products we link to (Polymathos, Noviq, MarketCraft, WEBUILD), each of which has its own privacy policy governing its own use of data.

1. Data We Collect

a. Information you submit directly

• Quote requests: the "Request a quote" form on quote.html collects your name, email, company (optional), project type, budget range, timeline, and a free-text description of what you want built.
• Newsletter signup: the footer signup on the homepage collects your email address.
• Direct email: if you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include — name, email address, and message content.

Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, which forwards submissions to our email inbox (see Section 5).

b. Information collected automatically

• Basic hosting analytics: our hosting provider may log aggregated, non-identifying traffic data such as page views, approximate (country/region-level) location, referrer source, and device type. This is standard web-server behavior, not a separate tracking script we've added.
• We do not use advertising trackers, third-party marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies on this Site.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a stated legal basis, we rely on: (a) your consent when you voluntarily submit a form or sign up for the newsletter; (b) our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating the Site securely; and (c) compliance with legal obligations where relevant.

3. How We Use Data

• To respond to quote requests and email enquiries, and to prepare proposals or quotes.
• To send occasional newsletter updates to people who opt in, and nothing else.
• To understand aggregate traffic to the Site so we can improve it.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse of our forms (e.g., spam submissions).

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Site does not set marketing or advertising cookies. Your browser may store minimal local state (e.g., to remember that you've already seen a one-time UI animation) which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Our hosting provider may use standard, strictly-necessary server logs to keep the Site running reliably and securely.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We do not share your personal data with third parties except with the service providers below, who process it on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms, or where required by law:

• Cloudflare Pages — hosts the Site and may log basic, aggregated traffic data.
• Formspree — receives and forwards quote-form and newsletter-signup submissions to our email inbox.
• Google Fonts — serves the Site's typefaces; loading a font file may expose your IP address to Google's font-serving infrastructure, per Google's own privacy policy.
• Email provider (Gmail) — receives form submissions and direct emails sent to our published address.

6. International Data Transfers

Our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple countries, which means your data may be processed outside your home country, including in the United States and European Union. Where this happens, it is subject to those providers' own safeguards and data-transfer mechanisms.

7. Data Security

We rely on our infrastructure providers' security controls (TLS encryption in transit, access-controlled hosting) and keep the set of people with access to submitted form data limited to the founders operating the Site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not store form submissions in any system beyond our email inbox and the processor listed above.

8. Data Retention

Quote-request and newsletter-signup emails are retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to, document, or act on the request — typically for the life of any resulting engagement plus a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete them. Aggregated analytics data, if collected, is retained per the hosting provider's default retention settings.

9. Your Rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its Rules, and consistent with the principles of other privacy frameworks such as the GDPR and CCPA where they may apply to you, you have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you and how it's used;
• Request a copy of that data;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request erasure of your data;
• Withdraw consent for processing (e.g., unsubscribe from the newsletter) at any time; and
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Note: as of mid-2026, most DPDP Act operational obligations (consent infrastructure, grievance timelines) are still being phased in by the Indian government through 2027, but we honor these rights on request regardless of that timeline.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there's no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it, and because this Site doesn't run cross-site advertising trackers in the first place, we don't currently respond differently to that signal — but the practical effect is the same as if we did.

11. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them through this Site. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site links to external products (Polymathos, Noviq, MarketCraft, WEBUILD) and social platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter). Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their data practices. Visiting them is subject to their own terms.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically as the Site or our tooling changes. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
